Authors are invited to submit an Extended Abstract detailing original, unpublished research, technological developments, or field operational results in Lighter-Than-Air (LTA) systems and enabling technologies.

An Extended Abstract serves as a condensed mini-paper (up to 3,000 words / approximately 5 to 6 pages, excluding references and figure captions). It should provide sufficient technical detail, mathematical rigor, and preliminary results to allow the peer-review committee to thoroughly evaluate the quality, originality, and relevance of your work. 

Required Structure & Section Guidelines - Each Extended Abstract must include the following key sections:

• • • Title: Concise, descriptive, and reflective of the core research.

    • Author Details: Full names, affiliations, official academic/institutional email addresses, and designated corresponding author.

    • Abstract: A concise 300–500 word overview summarizing the research objective, methodology, primary findings, and key conclusions. 

    • Introduction and Problem Statement: Motivation and explicit statement of the research gap or problem addressed. Brief review of relevant literature and novelty of the proposed solution. 

    • Methodology and Technical Approach: Clear description of the theoretical framework, mathematical modeling, or governing equations. Experimental setup, wind tunnel testing details, or numerical/CFD/FEA simulation parameters. System architectures, design algorithms, or software/hardware implementations.

    • Preliminary Results and Technical Discussion: Key quantitative findings illustrated through high-resolution charts, graphs, diagrams, or comparison tables. Discussion on the validity, trends, and significance of the observed data. Comparison with existing baseline models or literature data where applicable.

    • Conclusions and Future Work: Summary of major contributions and engineering insights. Outlined directions for ongoing or planned future research.

    • References : Select literature citations formatted using the standard Springer reference style.  

To ensure seamless integration into the post-conference proceedings, all authors must prepare their Extended Abstracts using the official Springer Nature Conference Proceedings Templates. Submissions that do not comply with Springer Nature formatting guidelines may be returned for reformatting prior to peer review.

Authors can download the official Springer Nature proceedings templates in either Microsoft Word/LaTeX/PDF format:

Length & Word Count: Extended Abstracts must be up to 3,000 words (approximately 5 to 6 pages), excluding references and figure captions. 

Font & Spacing: Standard template margins, font sizes, and line spacing must be preserved without alteration. 

Figures & Tables: All figures, graphs, and illustrations must be embedded at high resolution (minimum 300 DPI). Figure captions must appear below the figure; table captions must appear above the table.

Equations: Formatted using standard LaTeX equation environments or Word Equation Editor, numbered sequentially in parentheses on the right margin.

References: Citations and the bibliography list must strictly follow the Springer Nature numbered reference style (e.g., [1], [2]). 

Step 1: Account Creation & Login

2. If you already have a Microsoft CMT account, log in using your credentials.

3. If you are a new user, click on "Register" to create an account using your official institutional or academic email address.

Step 2: Starting a New Submission

1. Once logged in, click on "+ Create new submission" on the Author Console.

2. Select the primary Technical Track that best aligns with your research topic:

   • Track 1: LTA System Design, Sizing & Multidisciplinary Optimization

   • Track 2: Aerodynamics, Structures & Envelope Materials

   • Track 3: Flight Dynamics, Control, Energy & Propulsion

   • Track 4: Operations, Ground Handling, Defense & Sustainable Aviation

Step 3: Entering Paper Metadata

1. Title & Abstract: Enter the full title and a brief 300–500 word summary abstract into the designated text fields.

2. Authors: Add all co-authors by entering their CMT email addresses, names, and institutional affiliations. Designate the corresponding author.

3. Subject Areas / Keywords: Select relevant keywords to assist the Technical Program Committee in assigning appropriate peer reviewers.

Step 4: Preparing & Uploading the Document Double-Blind Review)

1. Format: Prepare your Extended Abstract (up to 3,000 words / 5 to 6 pages) using the official Springer Nature Proceedings Template (Word or LaTeX).

2. File Upload: Save your manuscript as a PDF file (Maximum size: 20 MB) and upload it to the portal.

Step 5: Confirmation & Managing Submissions

1. Review all entered details and click "Submit".

2. A confirmation message along with a unique Submission ID  will be displayed and emailed to the corresponding author.

3. You can edit your submission metadata or replace the uploaded PDF file anytime prior to the Extended Abstract Submission Deadline: 30 Nov 2026.

Academic Integrity & Ethics

• Originality: Submissions must present original, unpublished research that is not currently under review by another conference or journal.

• Ethics: Plagiarism or duplicate submissions will result in immediate desk rejection. All manuscripts will undergo automated similarity checking prior to peer review.
